In 2024 I was working full time as a software engineer. I was spending 8 hours a day building software for a corporate tech company and I was so unhappy. I began teaching myself to make mosaics to fill the creative void in my life. Posting my work online changed everything. Seeing the support for my mosaics from the art community made me realize I can actually create things that bring people joy. The career change was unexpected and terrifying but I have loved every minute of it. I am so incredibly grateful that I get to create art everyday and I truly believe it is some the most worthwhile work I could be doing, especially in today’s world.
